Sustainability
Making good choices to reduce our environmental impact
We recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment. We have made progress over the last few years to make our business more sustainable with changes to our products, print methods and packaging.
100% Plastic free cards
Our greeting cards are now completely plastic free supplied with a paper belly band and either a 100% recycled or FSC certified envelope.
Risograph printing
Risograph printing is a very eco-friendly print process with wonderful results. It uses soy based inks which are free from ozone emissions, toner particle emissions, silica dust, and other air pollutants.
We have discontinued our digital prints and switched to using risograph printing for all of our A5-A3 wall art. We have also replaced our polly bags with bio-cello bags for all of our print packaging.
Keeping it local
The majority of our suppliers and service providers are based either in Norfolk or the south east and we have been working with many of them for a long time.
These relationships allow us to discuss (often face to face) good working practices, what run sizes are most economical and identify the best print method for the product.
This results in high quality products at a reduced cost, reduced waste and reduced transport costs. It also supports the local economy. It's good for business and sometimes we get industry gossip and a cup of tea. What's not to like!
Reuse and recycle
We design our products with longevity in mind. When a product is discontinued we aim to donate excess stock to local charities for resale.
We use paper tape and newspaper offcuts for our order packaging. Being made of paper the majority of our products are also fully recyclable.
